Some Comments from Dissatisfied Virginia StoresOnline Customers
- Richmond: As many others will say, I purchased six Stores Online sites at a seminar. The purchase was a high pressure, today only deal. The today only deal should have been my warning. The seminar made it sound like a no-brainer. Anyone who was persistent and willing to work hard should be successful. There was very little information given about the countless number of hours that even a computer savvy individual would be required to invest in just one site, let alone six!! I am not a quitter by nature. [more]
- Virginia Beach: My sister and I wanted to start an on line business and decided to go with Stores on Line. We attended one of their seminars in Virginia Beach and ended up buying 6 web sites. We have only had one site active and it has not done any business in the last year. We are now in the process of closing out this business and would very much like a refund of our money for all 6 sites. [more]
- Virginia Beach: Like most others attended a seminar as well as an additional one for E-Bay training as well. They made it sound as if you did all they said you would certainly make sales on the internet. So far we have 2 sites up out of only 3 we bought and of course they tried for us to purchase all 6, which we did not. We are making some sales on one website because we have a niche product which the manufacturer advertises sometimes in magazines and newspapers. We have only had the site up since May of 2007. [more]
- Richmond: I am not satisfied with Store on line and have filed a complaint with the BBB in Utah. I requested a refund and was refused. I posted my experience previously. I did manage to get one of the six web site up and running and it has not worked out. I have not gotten any business and it has been up a year. One of my biggest complaints is that I was told that these websites were my personal property and when I was given the license # I was told that I could use them and enter my own password. [more]
- Virginia Beach: I've been a StoresOnline merchant for about 6 months. My store has been online for over 3 months. Not one sale. Not for lack of marketing so much as lack of thousands more dollars on top of the thousands I'm spending for the websites themselves and monthly website fee. [more]
- Richmond: bought into the hipe at the seminar. Were sold six web sites only to learn after wards that in order to properly get these site up and running we would need to invest more money. We ended up paying another stores online affiliate a sizeable amount of money to learn how to develop our sites and another company to market them. After many hours of frustration we finally launched two sites. However we are constantly getting calls from other companies trying to sell us their services for marketing, tax help, etc. [more]
- Richmond: None of the recommendations for securing product suppliers are willing to establish the kind of productive/profitable working arrangements as described by storesonline [more]
- Hampton : Two weeks ago I received an invitation to a seminar. A 90 minute business opportunity. I had received one before an I didn't get to go so this time I went. Now this previous year I had been in business for myself. An unfortunately I went out of business. An I have always believed that there has to be a way to make money on the Internet. Now because of so many scams I am real careful about buying anything off the Internet. [more]
- Richmond: I will admit that I didn't buy any websites from SO. All I did was attend two seminars: one free 90-minute seminar and one day long seminar.
A lot of what SO presented SOUNDED legitimate, however, the high pressure tactics to sign me up for a multi-thousand dollar financing scheme really turned me off.
Any legitimate business opportunity that asks so much money upfront would give you the opportunity to examine their product/service and give it a test run. [more]
