Some Comments from Dissatisfied Tennessee StoresOnline Customers
- Knoxville: My husband and I went to a seminar about 2 years ago and purchased the 3 webstore package. We were convinced by salesmen that "anyone" who could read emails could set up run these websites and would be able to make money right away. Well, I get a call from another company right after b uying the stores and I find out I "should" further purchase a "training" sessions package to learn to navigate the stores for maximum understanding and effenciency. - Nashville: In addition to the more than $6000 I spent to host six websites, I
gave PMI (an affiliate of StoresOnline) more than $9000 to "market" three of my sites with the promise to get my sites on the front page of the major search engines. I spent months designing and building my first site with little to no useful help from StoresOnline or PMI.
After launching my first and only website in May '07, I have broken even or lost money each month since. PMI has marketed my site to a

I signed up and "bought" three websites. After doing everything they said to do, no one even looked at my website. Then, I started getting calls from them saying that I needed their special service to teach me how to advertise my websites. Of course, this service cost more money - a lot more money. I did not have more money to give them. [more]
- Kingsport: The seminar sounder very good and looked like a good deal.
I Spent a lot of money and have not made enough to break even.
Could only find supplier out of the country and could not make any money because shipping costs are to high. We were invited to a Stores Online seminar and told that it wouldn't take much money to get our website in the top pages on the search engines. We feel that they completely lied to us. It took a lot of money for us to get to those top engines, and we still didn't get the buys that we were promised. We ended up running out of money. [more]
- Kingsport: I signed up for Stores Online in February 2007 after attending a seminar at the Meadowview Convention Center in Kingsport TN, on February 12th 2007
1. On 6/7/07 I contacted Customer Support and asked what needed to be done to have my site published to www.hills-gifts.com and was told that they would take care of it and that it would take up to 24 hours for the site to be seen on the web.
2. [more] - Nashville: Too complicated, I was very misled at the seminar and felt VERY pressured to buy these websites. [more]
- Chattanooga: After attending a seminar in Chattanooga and speaking on the phone to various sales people after attending the seminar, we were assured that setting up a storefront and reaching our goal of earning $6, 000 per month could be accomplished. We explained to them that we had had little experience on the computer and knew of no products that we wanted to sell. We were assured that they would help us find products and teach us all we needed to know.We then invested $6, 194 on Feb 6, 2006. [more]
- MURFREESBORO : I SPENT 6000.00 FOR 6 WEBSITES I AM STILL PAYING FOR AND I HAVE NOT MADE THE FIRST PENNY. THEY MAKE IT SOUND SO EASY. THEY DO NOT TELL YOU YOU WILL HAVE TO SPEND LOT OF MONEY ON ADVERTISING TO JUST GET A START. I AM VERY UNHAPPY AND WOULD LOVE TO GET MY HARD EARNED MONEY BACK. I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO GET A REFUND. THEY ARE VERY DECEPTIVE AND TOOK LOTS OF MONEY FROM PEOPLE WHO DO NOT HAVE IT. I AM ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. BRENDA WARDEN 512 WEST POINT ROAD LAWRENCEBURG TN. [more]
- Johnson City: I have done everything possibly with my website. I have done and redone the first website hoping to get more response than I have.
I am open to any suggestions someone has to improve it to help me start getting some money back that we have invested. I only have one sale and I am very disappointed. I have advertised, linked with other companies, and I have researched my products I have on my website. Unless some change happens I may be interested
on getting a refund of the money I have invested. [more] - Memphis: I went to a seminar back in January or February of 2007 in Memphis, TN. I really didn't have the money to purchase a website, but I really want to get my business out there. I ended up purchases 3 websites and financing it all. It has taken me 5 months to complete my 1st website and according to their way of doing things I still don't have visitors. I was led to believe that if you followed certain steps that you would get visitors. I don't think my problem is my products, it's my website not being seen. [more]
- Memphis: I got a "no name" invitation in the mail and went to the free lunch. I fell for their sales pitch about how easy this would be and that people are making enough money to quit their jobs and make it on the internet. You didn't have to be computer savvy, you just needed to own one. I ended up buying 6 sites and was excited to get started. They made it sound so easy that anyone could do it---wrong. [more]
- Chattanooga: My wife and I are dissatisfied for many reasons. We feel that SOL misrepresented themselves as being the be all and end all of the online merchants. However, they did cancel our contract upon our request. We both faxed and sent a registered letter to SOL and we have spoken with the company that was going to finance our contract and we have verified that our contract in fact has been cancelled.
