Some Comments from Dissatisfied Oregon StoresOnline Customers
- Portland: I purchased three store licenses from StoresOnline, two have made it to the web and niether makes much money. I have done everything that they 'suggested' for marketing and nothing has worked. They suggested that I also purchase "Coaching" from another company that I have found is related to them. This second company cost me $5000 and returned almost nothing. [more]
- Medford: I was looking for something I could do online to make money. The StoresOnline reps at the seminar made it sound so easy. They showed a woman who spoke minimal english (she was hispanic), who said she started her site herself and made her first sale 3 weeks later. How hard could that be for me?, I thought. After all, she had no previous computer experience and I did...heck! she wasn't even fluent in english! The packages offered were for three and six websites. I felt so confident, I got all six. - Salem: My husband and I bought three licenses in August 1, 2006 for total $4197 in Salem, OR. My husband created his website to sell christmas gifts, and later, to sell his paintings online. After trying to get traffic he quit and canceled it. Finally he put his paintings online with the other website, which has a stable traffic rate. I created my website ParentingForEveryone.com with the purpose to promote and sell a unique parenting book online. [more]
- Eugene: I knew there would be a lot of hard work and time involved in launching a website when we went to the seminar and purchased licensing for three sites. I took a lot of care to read all the tutorials and educate myself about what to do and how to do it right. Storesonline wanted us to buy licensing for six sites, but we were very uncomfortable with that. We have since launched one site, and have had zero sales since we went live in May... which was four months ago. [more]
- Portland: I purchased three web sites on 2-1-06. I first attended an evening meeting & paid $20, to attend the next meeting, 125 miles from my home. I then attended a group meeting 165 miles from my home, in Portland, OR. At this meeting I purchased 3 web sites, for $4, 198. This included a Credit Card Processing License $999. Prepublished Support $100, Links for Trade $399. Later, they also sold me a second plan through myEbiz for $4, 645, which was to help me set up a successful sunglass site. [more]
- Portland: My husband & I spent the last bit of credit we had to purchase 6 of the websites because we were told we would not be satisfied with just one or a couple. One thing is true... After spending a couple months designing and then publishing our site we began a full fledged marketing campaign using techniques Stores Online recommended but without succumbing to the many calls to purchase their SEO (search engine optimization) packages. - Portland: In 2006 I purchased 6 store fronts for six thousand and some odd dollars and to date I only have one going and I use it for advertisement for my massage business. Setting theses sites up is not as easy as you might think it is in their seminars. Knowing what I know now I would like to get my money back and do this differently. I will also advise people not to use the Tax Vantage program. Otherwise known as "The Tax Club" Check them out on the BBB for New York City. [more]
